Yesterday, two events brought people together in : a concert and an EDICES research meeting!
Othonia joined EDICES, the research team of the Spanish Center for Sindonology, whose researchers have spent decades studying the Sudarium of Oviedo, the cloth traditionally believed to have covered Jesus’ face.
John 20:7 not only describes the of Turin... it also describes “the cloth that had covered his head,” found separately from the other burial cloths in the empty tomb. Could the Sudarium be that cloth?
There’s more to share from these conversations. In the meantime, explore a recent study by Pedro Peinado and colleagues investigating how a bandage may have held the Sudarium against the head and influenced its bloodstain patterns.
