While the Sportsmen’s Alliance does not endorse candidates for office from any political party, it has long fostered dialogue between hunters, anglers, trappers, and target shooters and those who either hold or seek office. This dialogue allows sportsmen-voters to learn more about candidates before election day arrives.

Republican candidate for governor, Vivek Ramaswamy is providing a forum for dialogue and has scheduled a virtual townhall meeting for sportsmen on October 6, at 8:30 PM. The event does require interested sportsmen to RSVP. More information can be found on this opportunity can be found at www.vivekforohio.com/sportsmen.

Ramaswamy recently sat for an interview with Stephen Ziegler on his Rack Junkies podcast where they discuss many issues involving sportsmen’s issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENChWE-yFzc. Ziegler noted that the democratic nominee, Dr. Amy Acton had been invited to be a guest several times but had not responded to date.

The Sportsmen’s Alliance encourages all Ohio sportsmen and women to be informed and to get out to vote early or on Election Day, November 3, as we choose our next governor.

“The approval of the EFPs for red snapper in the South Atlantic is a victory for science-based, cooperative fisheries management,” said Torin Miller, Associate Litigation Counsel at the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation. “Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina have diligently shown that they are ready and able to take on an expanded role in managing red snapper in the South Atlantic. BREAKING! The Senate Ag Committee passed Chairman John Boozman’s proposed Farm Bill completely clean of previously threatened anti-hunting and extreme animal-rights amendments.
