We've completed our last week of Women Build 17! It's wild to think how far we've come since we started building with volunteers on January 2nd. The appliances are in, carpet is scheduled for next week, as is our final inspection, and our dedication ceremony is set for Thursday, May 30th at 4:30. This house (soon to be a home) would not have been possible without the hard work of every single volunteer. Thank you for bringing positive attitudes and a willingness to learn every day, and for building a beautiful house. Hope to see everyone at the dedication! - Alex

We only have two more work days remaining on Women Build 17! We'll get carpet next week and do all of our final cleaning and paint touch up to prepare for our dedication later this month. Thanks again to our incredible crews for a wonderful week! - Alex

The end of another week means another update! We hung our remaining doors, trimmed them out, graded and seeded the yard, painted the porches, and started baseboard. Thanks to our incredible crews for a great week! - Alex

We continue to make awesome progress on Women Build 17! We got one load of top soil today and will get another on Tuesday. The fence is nearly complete, countertops are in, doors are 75% hung, and electric is done! Thanks again to our fabulous volunteers for another fantastic week. Only a few weeks remain on this build, so we hope to see you on site soon! - Alex

We've had a busy week! We got rained out Tuesday and Wednesday, but we had very productive days Thursday-Saturday. We continued working on the fence, sanded all the floors, insulated the attics, wiped down the walls, and started painting. It's starting to really look like a house! Thanks again to our wonderful crews for a fantastic week :) - Alex

Another week, another update! Drywall has been hung and the first coat of mud is on. Meanwhile, we had a great day on Thursday with our usual crew and got a good start on the fence! - Alex

We had some awesome groups on site this week including Champion, our WB regulars, and some ladies from the city of Upper Arlington! We passed our insulation inspection, so drywall will be starting Monday. Our conductor lines for water drainage are in, we only have five pieces left of siding to install (yes, I counted), and all the fascia metal is done! Next week, we'll start the fence while drywallers work inside. :) We only have a couple more months of this build left, so go to our website to sign up for a volunteer shift: https://www.habitatmidohio.org/get-involved/women-build.html
