At yesterday’s Central Ohio Digital Inclusion Summit, TECH CORPS CEO Lisa M. Chambers challenged attendees to think beyond access to technology and consider what students need to thrive in an AI-driven world.

Lisa emphasized the importance of equipping young people with the critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence to question AI, make informed decisions, and help shape their future.

She also shared how TECH CORPS is adapting its hands-on, career-connected learning experiences to prepare students for a world increasingly shaped by AI.

AI is already shaping how we learn, work, create and communicate. At the 2026 TECH CORPS Hackathon, Ohio high school students won’t just learn about AI — they’ll share what they think its role should be in their future.

Students will explore AI, work with a team to create something original, and present their point of view to a panel of judges.

Our TECH CORPS Hackathon Instructors are trained, energized and ready to go! 🚀

Instructors came together in Northeast and Central Ohio to prepare for the 2026 TECH CORPS Hackathon—and to experience firsthand what they’ll soon lead students through in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Elyria.

The training sparked high-energy, thought-provoking conversations about artificial intelligence: Where is AI headed? How is it shaping our world? And what role do WE play in deciding what comes next?

That’s exactly the kind of conversation we want our students to be part of.

Now we’re ready to bring that energy to the Hackathon, where high school students will explore AI, develop their own point of view, create something original with a team and share their ideas.

TECH CORPS was proud to participate in Sinclair Community College’s Community Connect: Resource Fair & Volunteer Expo in Dayton. Our COO, Carla Easley, was there sharing how volunteers can help us deliver meaningful, career-connected technology experiences for students.

This year, students will do more than code. They’ll explore how AI is shaping their world, take a position, create something original with a team, and share their point of view.

We need volunteers in Cleveland, Dayton & Elyria on November 7 and Columbus on November 14.

🔹 Logistics Volunteers — Help keep the day running smoothly.
