Yesterday we reported on Tom Morello's Power to the People fest, which will take over Merriweather Post Pavilion outside Washington, D.C. on Oct. 3 with a lineup featuring Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, System of a Down’s Serj Tankian, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, grandson, the Linda Lindas and Morello himself.

Today, Morello's announced that Public Enemy has been added to the bill.

Even Jack Black is getting in on the action alongside a younger next-gen crew of musicians that includes Rage Against the Machine guitarist Morello’s son Roman, Revel Ian, Yoyoka Soma and Hugo Weiss. Meanwhile, legendary street artist Shepard Fairey drew the event poster and will also provide a DJ set. The bill is rounded out by the Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen, former Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and Run-DMC’s Darryl “DMC McDaniels.

Amazing achievement! 46 young workers ready to build the future of

Last night we celebrated the newest journeyman wiremen and women of IBEW Local 306. 41 new Inside Wireman Journeyman and 5 Residential Journeyman Wireman received their diplomas and were recognized for their hard work over the course of their apprenticeships. In total, the group completed over 31,000 hours of related technical training in the classroom, and worked over 340,000 hours in their on the job training assignments. Thank you to all the families and friends of the graduates, our IBEW Local 306 and North Central Ohio NECA Chapter partners, our industry partners Milwaukee Tools, Klein Tools, and Wolff Brothers Supply, and to our staff and instructors for joining us in celebrating the graduates last night. Congratulations to all the graduating apprentices on a job well done!

Today was my last day at Ironworkers Local 17. For nearly two decades, this union has been home. I built my career with the Ironworkers, and they will always be a part of me. My job for the next 158 days will be to flip this district and bring working-class values and real representation to Ohio's 7th District.
