We are proud to welcome Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a Founding Sponsor of The Nursing Nest. 💛

Their support during our very first season means so much to us. As a new nonprofit, having an organization like Nationwide Children’s believe in this work early helps us grow our impact and continue bringing infant care access into more community spaces.

We are grateful to have the support of an organization that does so much for children and families across Central Ohio.

This sponsorship is helping us build a stronger foundation for The Nursing Nest and reach more families who deserve to feel supported and included in their communities.

Thank you, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, for investing in our mission and believing in what we are building from the beginning. We are so grateful to have you as a Founding Sponsor.

Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival, what a weekend. 🍅🤎

Even with stormy weather during the festival, severe storms and tornadoes moving through Central Ohio before and after the event, the community still came together to have some fun.

Over the weekend, 40 caregivers visited The Nursing Nest for 44 infant care uses. Families used the space to feed, change, soothe, cool down, and care for their babies while still being able to enjoy the festival.

That is exactly why infant care access is important. Families with babies want to be part of their communities. Having a clean, supportive place to care for their baby can make it easier for them to stay, participate, and enjoy the experience together.

A huge thank you to the City of Reynoldsburg, Ohio- Government for welcoming The Nursing Nest to the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival and for helping make the event more supportive and accessible for families with infants.

We are so grateful to be part of this community and loved getting to care for Reynoldsburg families throughout the weekend. 🍅🤎

We are grateful to Mayor Joe and the City of Reynoldsburg for inviting us to share the story behind The Nursing Nest.

Our conversation gave our Executive Director, Paige Sunnenberg, the opportunity to talk about something that can easily be overlooked in community planning: what it takes for families with babies to fully participate.

Infant care access is about more than having a place to breastfeed or change a diaper. It can reduce stress and isolation. It can support maternal mental health and infant wellbeing. Most importantly, it helps families feel like community spaces were designed with them in mind too.

"As a Reynoldsburg resident and Co-Founder of The Nursing Nest, it was particularly meaningful to have this conversation in my own community."

Thank you, Mayor Joe and the City of Reynoldsburg, for the warm welcome and for helping bring greater visibility to the needs of families with infants.

We are excited to share that this Wednesday, August 12, our Co-founder, Paige Sunnenberg will be sitting down with Reynpldsburg Mayor Joe Begeny to talk about The Nursing Nest ahead of the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival. 💛

As Reynoldsburg residents, this one feels especially special.

It also feels fitting that this conversation is happening during National Breastfeeding Month.

Breastfeeding is such a commitment. It can shape your whole day. Sometimes even being away from your baby for a couple of hours means thinking about when you last fed, how much milk you have on hand, when you need to pump, where you can pump, and how you are going to store milk.

There is so much physical and emotional work happening behind the scenes that people do not always see.

We want families with babies to be able to enjoy their communities without infant care feeling like an afterthought.

We are grateful for the chance to share more of that story with our mayor and with the community we call home.

And to the mothers breastfeeding and pumping right now: so much of you goes into nourishing your baby. Your time. Your body. Your energy. Your sleep. Your freedom. Your love.

While you are doing so much to care for your baby, you deserve to be cared for and supported too.

We'll meet you on Facebook Live next Wednesday for the 12 O'Clock Show with Mayor Joe for our Pre-Tomato Festival Show with Special Guest and Tomato Festival Sponsor, The Nursing Nest!
