Our first Nursing Nest setup did not go exactly as planned. The Worthington Farmers Market was cut short due to lightning, but we still got to see our vision come to life.

Families with infants need places to pause, feed, change, comfort, and regroup, especially when community events do not go as expected.

We are thankful for the friends and families who came out to help us capture our first setup and for the safe space our canopy provided when the weather turned.

This is only the beginning.

Today, we honor every kind of mother and every person who loves, nurtures and shows up in a mothering way.

To the mothers in the newborn stage running on little sleep.
To the mothers carrying the invisible weight of caregiving.
To the mothers navigating postpartum struggles, grief or isolation quietly.

To the adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers and mother figures.

We’re almost there 💛

The Nursing Nest is just $50 away from purchasing the remaining supplies needed for our upcoming event season, including fans, a center privacy curtain, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and a changing table.

Every donation helps us create clean, private and supportive spaces for families with babies at community events across Central Ohio.

May is Maternal Mental Health Month 💛

At The Nursing Nest, we believe maternal mental health is supported in the small moments too.

For many moms and caregivers, getting out of the house with a baby can feel overwhelming. Our mobile infant care center is designed to reduce that barrier so families can stay connected, supported and present at community events.

Because care doesn’t have to be complicated to matter.

Curious what The Nursing Nest will look like this summer?

Here’s a peek at our setup, a calm, private space where caregivers can breastfeed, pump, bottle feed, change and care for their babies while staying connected at community events.

We’re almost ready for our first event, but we still need a few final supplies to make the space fully functional:

2 folding tables
Hand sanitizer
Disposable changing pads
Trash bags
A center curtain for added privacy

One table will hold our free filtered water station, and one will serve as our changing table area.

We’re officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit 🧡

We’re so excited to share that The Nursing Nest is now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

This is a huge milestone for us and an important step in building more supportive, welcoming spaces for families with babies at community events.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something bigger, supporting families with feeding, pumping and changing while also addressing the isolation many mothers experience.

At its core, this work is about connection and dignity while supporting maternal mental health.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported and believed in this mission so far. It means so much.

Donations are now tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

This is only the beginning and we can’t wait to keep building with you 🪺
