As we move into the summer, our partners around the Carolinas are hard at work helping communities in need. 17 departments distributed 87 boxes of Greg’s Groceries during the month of May. Our top agency of the month was a tie between the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and Camden police department! Thank you to our partners for the incredible work you do every day.

We had a great time packing 250 Greg’s Groceries boxes and giving many of them away during a community cookout in Irmo! Thank you so much to the Town of Irmo and the Mayor’s Uplift Initiative for making this event possible. We also want to thank the Irmo Police Department, SLED, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, SC Dept. of Probation, Parole & Pardon and Highway Patrol for partnering with us for this event. 💙

We had such a great time at the 2026 PLECET Conference in Dallas over the weekend. Our team presented on our organization’s work to strengthen public safety through trust based partnerships.
In addition to presenting, we were surprised with an award for 2026 Community Practitioner of the Year during the Annual Torch Awards Breakfast.

Thank you to Movement Forward, Reverend Markel Hutchins, Kevin Martinez and their team for their leadership and dedication.
