Smith University will receive $1.03 million in federal Community Project Funding to strengthen STEM education, expand undergraduate research and prepare students for high-demand careers.

Before there was EngineHer The Future, the purpose was already there. 💜💛

I came across this video of myself speaking to young girls about why I chose Civil Engineering. At the time, I had no idea that the organization I was building would eventually evolve into EngineHER The Future.

Looking back now, I realize the mission was already taking shape.

I’ve always believed that exposure matters. Sometimes a young girl simply needs to see someone who looks like her, hear about a career she didn’t know existed, and be reminded that there is space for her there too.

Today, that purpose has a clearer direction through EngineHER The Future; creating opportunities for girls ages 12–17 to explore STEM, connect with professionals, build confidence, and discover what’s possible for their futures.

The name changed. The vision became clearer. The purpose was already there. 💜💛
