Hello,

My name is Ashliegh Johnson and I am the Founder of a local nonprofit in Charleston, SC called
Extraordinaire Kids.
I launched Extraordinary Kids! to help minority children receive access to extracurricular activities and trade programs. The reason we focus on these particular skill sets are:

1. To afford our children new opportunities through a variety of activities.
2. To engage children with hands-on experience to prepare them for the real world.
3. To highlight skills used as a career to minimize minority student loan debt.

We are currently looking for new board members to help make this vision come to life!

Today we had the pleasure of interviewing Ashliegh Duberry, and she tells us about her nonprofit called Extraordinaire Kids. A program that is tailored to providing programs and classes for our youth to gain a skill or trade.

As of 8:45 tonight Extraordinare Kids! Officially had its first meeting and we are one step closer to reaching our 501c3 (Nonprofit Status)! I’m thankful for my board and the support of everyone following us on this journey.

I know it’s been a long year due to Covid, stress, school and whatever else is turning your world upside down. Spare yourself two hours and join us on May 9th from 12-2 for a virtual brunch with other mother’s where we’ll chat, share, laugh and focus on unity to get us through the times . We’ll have raffles, games, discussions and other fun activities throughout our time together.
