On National HIV/AIDS & Aging Awareness Day, Beyond Our Status honors the lives, stories, needs, and resilience of people aging with HIV.

Living longer is a victory—but longevity must be met with dignity, affirming healthcare, emotional support, economic security, meaningful inclusion, and freedom from HIV stigma and ageism.

To every person aging with HIV: We see you. We hear you. We honor you—not simply for all you have survived, but for the wisdom, strength, joy, and purpose you continue to bring to our communities.

Long life is the goal. Quality of life must remain the promise.

Honor the stories.

On Faith HIV & AIDS Awareness Day, Beyond Our Status calls every faith community to replace silence with truth, stigma with compassion, judgment with understanding, and exclusion with love.

HIV is not a punishment. A diagnosis does not erase anyone’s worth, faith, purpose, future, or place in the community. Our sacred spaces must become safe spaces where people living with HIV are welcomed, affirmed, supported, and empowered to live fully.

Let us turn awareness into action:
