At tonight's meeting, I resigned from my position as President of the Riverland Park Neighborhood Association. This move was based on my failing health. I nominated Donna K. Cox Zeigler to take my place. She has been to everyone meeting we have had since we moved to the Church. I want to thank you all for letting me be your conduit from the City to our neighborhood. I am sure Donna will do a fantastic job!

You may have seen the signs, so we are having our next Neighborhood Meeting this coming Thursday, 100 Old State Road at the church. Special guests will be there.

MEETING CANCELLED--We were scheduled to have our next meeting Thursday, January 20th. However, we are still riding the spike of the Omacron, with over 20,000 new cases reported by DHEC for Jan 17th. Let's hope we can meet in April!

We are having our first neighborhood meeting since the shutdown. We expect our Mayor to be there and possibly our new police chief! 6:00 Thursday at the church at 100 Old State Road.

We are ready to start having Neighborhood Meetings again, assuming cases per day keep falling from 1000/day. Do we have anyone who has ties with the church at 100 Old State? If not, we have been offered the City of Cayce Courtroom. Would you go to the City complex for a meeting?

I just found out from Skip Jenkins that DOT has moved Godley Street up on the list of streets to be repaired, and construction is set to begin in the next few weeks.

Godly street is a nightmare. It is the only way all the steel leaves the CMC plant, and soon it will be the only road the quarry will use. (They are going to stop using the Frink Street exit.) Please contact SCDOT and request that they fix our road. It is literally crumbled in a large area. It should not be the only way out of our neighborhood, we should have access to Taylor Road off New State.

Our neighbor who was loved by all his neighbors lost his home to a devastating house fire. Although his injuries didn’t require hospitalization, and his dog got out safely, he lost everything. Even his money burned up. Please if you have a coin please help Lester Robinson start over from scratch.
