Former Delta Force B and D Squadron dog handler Sergeant Major (Retired) Jeremy Knabenshue and his Military Working Dog, Weblo. Weblo started his life as a beaten down Belgian Malinois from Holland that flinched at every sudden movement. In Jeremy’s hands, he would become one of the most decorated combat K9s in modern U.S. Special Operations history. Together, the pair deployed seven times to Iraq and Afghanistan alongside America’s Tier 1 operators. On Halloween night 2007, Weblo was shot through the abdomen while clearing a building in Iraq. Jeremy was the only man on target carrying a K9 first aid kit. He treated Weblo in the dirt under fire, saved his life, and watched his partner make a full recovery and return to duty. Weblo went on to save countless American lives across multiple deployments, once catching an enemy combatant hiding in wait with an AK-47 at a breach point, something no operator or aircraft above had spotted.

Weblo retired in 2012 and lived out his days as a family protector. On March 8, 2016, Jeremy gave him a final helicopter ride over the airfield, the wind in his fur one last time, before letting him go peacefully. Warriors come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them have four legs.

Meet Kyle Morgan — 20+ years of service in every major American conflict since 9/11. Started as an infantryman in Iraq in 2003. Became a Special Forces Green Beret. Spent 11 years inside the Army’s most secretive unit: 1st SFOD-D, better known as Delta Force, specializing in hostage rescue. His decorations include the Distinguished Service Cross, 5 Bronze Stars (one with Valor), and 3 Presidential Unit Citations. Today he trains civilians and law enforcement through Blu Bearing Solutions; turning hard-earned battlefield lessons into the “Protector Mindset.”

Sergeant Major Mike Vining. One of the original members of Delta Force, joining the newly formed unit in 1978 as its first EOD specialist. A man who looked like he did your taxes and operated like a ghost. Vietnam. Operation Eagle Claw in Iran, where he was aboard EC-130E Bladder Bird #4 when a helicopter crashed into it and barely made it out alive. Grenada, sitting on a toolbox to avoid getting shot through the floor of his Black Hawk. Desert Storm. Haiti. 31 years of service, most of it in Delta, doing things that still do not have public names attached to them.

He looks like someone who would kill you and then do your taxes. They even made a Pokemon card out of him. That is the thing about the best operators in the world. They never look the part. Mike Vining never looked the part. He was the part.

I marvel at all they did, all they risked, all they gave.
