Forge Evolution

Forge Evolution Previously COS Teen Court, we empower youth to develop resiliency and make healthy life choices through community-based, restorative justice programs.

Meaning behind the mission
Forge (verb): To move forward gradually or steadily. For 29 years we helped Colorado Springs teens who made a mistake realize that one bad decision does not have to define who they are. We helped them grow. With our organizational shift to Forge Evolution, we want to help more teens move forward steadily. It is our goal to provide every teen and pre-teen we interact with

the life skills, tools, and resources necessary to succeed now and to make their future their own. Forge Evolution offers two pillar programs: The Teen Court Program and the Forge Evolution Program. Both programs provide teens with opportunities to grow, learn new skills, and gain pro-social bonds. The Teen Court Program is offered to participants who have been referred to us for a misdemeanor incident in lieu of a ticket; The Forge Evolution Program is a FREE, drop-in offering that is held once a week. Each week, a new subject and skill is introduced to participants in an engaging environment with help from our community partners!

👋Say "Hello" to our new Case Manager!

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Nicole joined Forge Evolution in August
2026 as our new Case Manager. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and, in June 2026, completed a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
Nicole brings extensive experience working within the legal and criminal justice
systems, as well as in and alongside law enforcement. Throughout her career in both
Colorado and Mississippi, she has served as a legal assistant, paralegal, probation and
parole agent, and criminal investigator.
While working in the Colorado Springs Municipal Court Probation Department, Nicole
became familiar with youth referred to Forge Evolution's Teen Court Program and began
volunteering with the organization in September 2025. Her experience volunteering with
a youth-focused organization further strengthened her passion for supporting young
people through early intervention, behavioral health services, care coordination, and
crisis intervention. She is committed to helping youth thrive in an environment centered
on restorative justice, youth development, resilience, and prevention services.

Outside of her professional work, Nicole enjoys reading, traveling, crafting,
paddleboarding, and photography. She is also a member of the Psi Chi International
Honor Society and the American Psychological Association.

Welcome, Nicole! We are so happy you have joined our team.

🤝In our Teen Court program, community service is a requirement for all participants working to get their record expunged. This year, we have begun a partnership with Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging where one Saturday, once a month Teen Court participants work together to help an older adult age in place through 4 hours of yardwork.

See our impact and hear it first from Dali Moncada, Volunteer Programs Manager at Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging...

"The young people of the Teen Court Program have been an incredible addition to our Outdoor Chore Program. Their hard work has helped older adults maintain their homes, tackling outdoor projects that can become difficult or overwhelming for an older person to manage on their own. Teen Court participants demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and a genuine willingness to help, reminding our seniors that there are people in their community who care and are willing to lend a hand. These young people are not only working toward positive change in their own lives, but they are also creating positive change in the lives of others along the way." 💕🌱
