Since inception, more than 750+ youth have participated in HC programming. All programming is now donation based and scholarships are available for all youth!

Founded in March of 2017 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) public charity in March of 2019, Hillside Connection (HC) was established to “leverage the game of basketball to create pathways to opportunity for kids in Southern Colorado Springs.”

Our guiding principle is anchored in the belief that all children should be afforded the opportunity to participate in high quality programming. We believe in a five-tiered approach towards youth development, consisting of five pillars to success: sports development, enrichment activities, community engagement, competitive play, and family support services. Our organization serves youth girls and boys (grades 1st - 8th) with a strategic focus on enhancing "pathways programming” for our current high school participants. All programming is donation based. Scholarships are available for all youth!

📚 Development goes beyond sports! Enrichment Activation will also be included for 4th-8th grader boys and girls. These sessions build leadership, teamwork, and confidence.

🥂 At the 4th Annual Hillside Connection Ball — A Night of Gratitude, we were privileged to honor William J. Hybl with our Spirit of Youth Award.
🫱🏻‍🫲🏽 As Chair Emeritus of El Pomar Foundation, President Emeritus of the United States Olympic Committee, and a lifelong champion of civic leadership, Mr. Hybl has spent decades strengthening communities across Colorado and representing our nation on the global stage.
🎖️ The Spirit of Youth Award honors individuals whose philanthropic vision directly expands access and creates lasting pathways for young people. Through his leadership at El Pomar and beyond, Mr. Hybl has championed initiatives that foster character, athletics, and community resilience—values that directly align with Hillside Connection’s mission to level the playing field for our youth.
🙏🏽 We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Hybl for his exceptional dedication, his presence at our annual ball, and his continued belief in the potential of every young leader in our community.

✨A night we won’t soon forget!
🙏🏾 A massive thank you to Colorado’s own Phillip Lindsay for joining us as the keynote speaker at our 4th Annual Hillside Connection Ball: A Night of Gratitude.
📈 From Denver South to Colorado Football legend to Pro Bowler with the Denver Broncos , Phillip embodies what it means to overcome the odds through relentless grit, humility, and heart. His message to our youth, families, and community was a powerful reminder that where you start doesn’t define how far you can go when you stay dedicated and believe in your work ethic.
🗣️ Phillip, thank you for pouring into our mission, sharing your journey with authenticity, and standing with us as we continue to provide access to quality sports and enrichment programs to empower the next generation of youth in our community.

👀 THE FACTORY: HC Youth Sports Training is coming together to provide access to quality training for youth! high-quality, competitive training to 4th–8th graders who are ready to build confidence, improve their performance, and get prepared for the next level. 🔥
💪🏾 Small groups (only 6–10 youth per group!).
🗓️ Upcoming Sessions:
Session 1: Sun Oct 18th
Session 2: Sat Nov 21st & Sun Nov 22nd
Session 3: Sat Dec 19th & Sun Dec 20th
🕰️ 11am - 2:00pm Timeframe Location will be shared with confirmed participants.

📍 Grades 9–12? High school sessions are available upon request!

This is a donation-based program (with a recommended $15- $25 per session, and scholarships are available) because we believe every athlete deserves the chance to grow. 💙
