Hillside Connection

Hillside Connection Since inception, more than 750+ youth have participated in HC programming. All programming is now donation based and scholarships are available for all youth!

Founded in March of 2017 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) public charity in March of 2019, Hillside Connection (HC) was established to “leverage the game of basketball to create pathways to opportunity for kids in Southern Colorado Springs.”

Our guiding principle is anchored in the belief that all children should be afforded the opportunity to participate in high quality programming. We believe in

a five-tiered approach towards youth development, consisting of five pillars to success: sports development, enrichment activities, community engagement, competitive play, and family support services. Our organization serves youth girls and boys (grades 1st - 8th) with a strategic focus on enhancing "pathways programming” for our current high school participants. All programming is donation based. Scholarships are available for all youth!

🚀 We are very excited to partner with Roosevelt Charter Academy to bring the FREE HeLeads Workshop™️ ⚡️to 1st - 5th Grade Boys this month. Adding value to what already exists. ⚡️🤝

🧠 A social-emotional learning-based basketball initiative powered by Hillside Connection that uses the power of sport to teach leadership, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.

These FREE sessions include:
🏀 Basketball Skill Development
🧘‍♂️ Empowerment Panel + activity
🍱 Nutrition to Go

🏀 5th Annual Fall Hoopster League is almost here! 🍁✨
🚨 Please note this FREE fall opportunity is only for Harrison School District Two boys and girls in the 4th and 5th grade who would like to tryout at their elementary school.
🚀 5th Annual season
🏀 Tryouts start September 14
🎯 Practices & games run October–November
📌 Open to Co-Ed 4th & 5th grade teams
This is more than basketball - it’s about teamwork, growth, and community. In short all kids need access to quality sports and enrichment programs 💪🏽

👀In January 2022, HC leadership developed the framework for the “Hoopster League” with a guiding principle that all youth deserve access to quality sports and enrichment programming regardless of socio-economic status. Since inception, the Hoopster League collaboration with HSD2 has impacted 1,000+ youth! League incentives includes: regular season play, championship bracket, shoes and jersey's, coach stipends and more.
