Bonnie Anthony - Trance
Opening Reception
First Friday 4-8pm

The act of painting this series has been both an enlightening and healing experience for me!

Throughout the slow process of creating the pathways and organic mazes found in my paintings, I encountered cobwebs of repressed feelings and also the light of cherished memories.

Among this cache were reminders of many worldwide travels and the discovery of traditional cultural arts and the appreciation of the history of these cultures.

I have been enlightened by the fact that my life and artwork are influenced by the variety of techniques used in these artforms from wood carvings, textiles, pottery, ironwork, painting, music, dance to inspirational writings, quotes and beyond. My own experimentation with paint, collage, found objects, scraping, sanding to reveal layers, and finally finishing with cold wax becomes reminiscent of some of these learned techniques.

I realize the importance of the strong connection to, and responsibility felt for land and sea by all these cultures around the world. My hope is that we can all be grateful for the influence this has had in our lives.

This series is dedicated to my daughter-in-law, Alison Anthony, who has taught grace and healing through true love.

Jes Moran - Seam Shift
In Seam Shift, I explore how construction changes the language of painting. Cutting disrupts the painted surface, while sewing it back together rebuilds it through seams and shapes. This process shifts gesture, color, and composition through physical reconstruction, creating quilted and geometric forms.

The work is built through repetition, deconstruction, and repair. Painting becomes a material that is continually transformed rather than preserved as a seamless surface. The finished works hold onto the evidence of making, memories of blue-collar workers, the American west landscape and the countless people who used their hands to build a life for their families. I’m drawn to the care and resilience embedded in handmade objects and repaired materials. Through cutting and reconstruction, the work reflects those histories of effort, persistence, and labor.

Christa MacFarlane - Seasonal Transformation
Opening Reception
First Friday 4-8pm

Experiencing each season to its fullest brings us to a place of full bloom.

Presenting our best selves at a deeper level provides the opportunity for growth, peace, strength, and celebration.

It speaks to the idea that every season of life, just like every season of the year, has its own purpose.

When we fully experience each season, rather than rushing past it or resisting it, a few powerful things can happen:

Growth – Challenges and quiet seasons give roots time to deepen.

Peace – Accepting where we are reduces the struggle against life’s natural cycles.

Strength – Moving through different phases builds resilience and wisdom.

Celebration – When the “full bloom” moments arrive, we appreciate them more because we’ve lived through everything that led us there.

It is similar to how nature works: winter rests, spring grows, summer blooms, and autumn reflects. Each phase prepares the next.
