Dear 2024 Graduates although I am not your commencement speaker I hope that you hold tight to the advice that I am prompted to pass on to you. No matter what ANYONE tells you, NOTHING is FREE in this LIFE. There is a COST for everything. Keeping in mind the cost may not be monetary. It may come as unplanned struggles, loss of jobs, friends, or family. You are no immune to the pains of this life. Your payment comes in many forms. Know that each of you have accomplished great things in your short lives. I pray that you seek guidance from your Heavenly Father for the rest of your days. For he is the one that will be on your side, will walk with you through the highest highs and the lowest lows. But most importantly the one that is going to be there to pick you up during those times when this life seems uncertain or too difficult to endure. Congratulations may you all take a moment to celebrate all of your hard work, and thank your parents for their love & support.

So last night I was working on a project for a client and I came across this resilient tree. What was interesting is that someone clearly tried taking this tree out, but as you can see this tree surrounded itself with a family that cared and loved it no matter what. That family woke up everyday and nourished that tree and held on to it so it could not only survive, but thrive. I can honestly say I know how that little tree felt when it's legs were chopped off, but I also know how resilient & strong that little tree ultimately becomes. I know life gets hard, trust me I DO KNOW. It's ok to love yourself enough to walk away and surround yourself with the love that Father in Heaven has waiting for you, and allow yourself to be lifted up.
