A Place 4 Me and Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) are announcing the next phase in the development of the Youth Drop-In Center.

A Place 4 Me will assume full operational responsibility for the Center at an alternative site, building on years of partnership, planning, advocacy, fundraising, and leadership from young adults with lived experience.

The Youth Drop-In Center will create a welcoming, youth-centered space where young people can meet basic needs, connect with A Place 4 Me’s Youth Navigation team, and access housing, shelter, behavioral health, and other supportive services.

We are grateful for LMM’s significant contributions throughout the development of the Center and for the work our organizations have shared to move this vision forward.

A Place 4 Me will share additional updates about the Youth Drop-In Center in the coming weeks.

LMM hosted the (LSA) Lutheran Services of America Board Meeting Convention at the (RSC) Richard Sering Center last week!

On August 19, convention attendees visited the RSC, where Maria Foschia welcomed the group during a meeting, provided a tour of the facility, shared LMM’s mission, and highlighted how our programs serve and strengthen the community.

On August 20, Maria hosted a mini-immersive tour that included a visit to the Men’s Shelter and a drive past Breaking New Ground (BNG) Homes. She later joined the group for a presentation during the Board Meeting.

Thank you to LSA for having us host their convention, and for taking a deeper look into the services we provide the community!

Election time is just around the corner, and we wanted to put some important dates on your radar to make sure you are registered and ready to go when the time comes around in a couple of months!

First things first, you can check to see if you are registered on the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website. The deadline to vote in the 2026 election is October 5th.

The next most important step is to do your research. Closer to the election, which is on November 3rd this year, you will be able to view a sample ballot. From there you can look up information about each candidate and issue, and you can take note of who you would best like to represent you and your community.

Lastly, is choosing how you would like to vote. Absentee ballots are available to use starting on October 6th, you can in person vote early, or you can vote on the day of November 3rd.

In 2025 only 6.15% of Cuyahoga County's eligible voters cast a ballot, so know that your vote truly does matter! Additional info on what to bring with you, your polling location, and more can be found below.

LMM Staff Partner Nolan White joined Tal Behavioral Health for a one hour interview!

It is always a beautiful thing when one of LMM's own is able to share their lived experience, as well as an in depth look into the services that we offer to the Northeast Ohio community at large!

Thank you to TBH for giving Nolan and LMM this platform!

At LMM, "Excellence" is one of our core values - we believe in delivering high-quality services with integrity, accountability, and transparency.

On August 13, Maria Foschia, President & CEO, announced at an All Staff meeting the organization's "Level Up" Theme for 2026-2027. A presentation on the organization's COA re-accreditation process was followed by staff partners who work in various roles sharing their stories of the ways they are leveling up; for example, by pursuing additional credentials, attending new trainings, expanding their skills and taking initiative for quality improvement.

According to CEO Foschia, "Leveling up is about intentionally investing in ourselves so we can better serve others. When our staff partners pursue new knowledge, strengthen their skills and take initiative, it elevates our collective ability to meet our mission. I’m inspired by the passion and commitment our staff partners bring to this effort, and I’m confident that their growth will translate into an even greater impact on the people and communities we serve."

LMM congratulates Cuyahoga County, the City of Cleveland, EDEN and the YWCA on the grand opening of the newly expanded Norma Herr Center.

As a provider of shelter and housing services for youth, adults and families, we celebrate the investment and applaud this example of the community coming together to achieve dignified and respectful spaces for persons in need of shelter.
