Cleveland Council on World Affairs

CCWA's mission is to inspire engagement in international affairs and world cultures through education, citizen diplomacy and public dialogue.

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA) is dedicated to fostering global awareness in Northeast Ohio. To do so, CCWA coordinates programs with the U.S. Department of State that bring hundreds of international visitors – professionals, students, and government leaders – to the Cleveland area every year. In addition, CCWA hosts a variety of dynamic speakers to engage the local community and also works closely with area schools to bring the world to Ohio students.

Travel with CCWA to Helsinki, Finland – land of midnight sun, saunas, and stunning Nordic design.

This small group travel tour will explore Finnish culture and society. Together you’ll wander an ancient sea fortress, step inside a library that feels like the future, and share meals with locals and fellow curious travelers. You’ll swap ideas with Finnish thinkers, peek inside the halls of Parliament, and swap your shoes for a sauna towel.
