Our open console was a resounding success! We had many people, young and old, experienced and beginners, come out and try our 3/15 Mighty Wurlitzer! We will be holding more open consoles in the future, so if you missed it, be on the lookout for the next one! Thank you to all of our members who came out to help, and to everyone for coming out to support a local organization!

WRTOS will offer open console on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Cleveland Grays Armory Museum from 11:00 am until closing at 4:00pm. Free and open to the public!

Have you ever wanted to sit at the console of an organ and try playing it?

To see all those buttons up close? Press some keys and hear what happens?

To try different pipe ranks and sound effects?

Maybe get your picture taken?

Saturday, September 19, is your chance!

Would you like your child or grandchild to have that chance?

Ability to play a keyboard is not required, but if you can play piano or organ even a little, you can find out how it feels on a real theatre pipe organ. Haven't played in a while? No problem, no judgement!

WRTOS members will be available at the console to guide you and answer questions.

Have you ever wondered how a pipe organ makes those sounds?

Where are the speakers? {There are none!}

How does it work?

We will answer those questions. Very small groups can be taken to see the pipes and other what-nots.

We hope to see you there!
