Happy National Dog Day! 🐾☕️

We’re out celebrating today with our friends at Dutch Bros Coffee on Madison Street in Clarksville!

A huge thank you to Dutch Bros for hooking up our pups with delicious Pup Cups and awesome Dutch Pup bandanas. They’ve been such incredible supporters of Second Chance K9 through their round-up campaigns and drink fundraisers, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their community partnership! ❤️

Today, we’re giving a special shoutout to Chase! 🐶 Chase is our longest-standing resident dog—he’s been with us since before we even officially became a non-profit. While service dog work ultimately wasn’t the right path for him, he continues to live a safe, happy, and loving life as part of our core family at the kennel. Watching him happily scarf down his treat today is what giving dogs a second chance is all about.

How are you celebrating your four-legged family members today? Let us know in the comments! 👇

It’s Five Dollar Friday. Please consider donating just $5—the average cost of a cup of coffee—to help us continue training these lifesavers.

At Second Chance K9, we are dedicated to honoring our Veterans by pairing them with custom-trained service dogs—many of whom are getting a second chance themselves.

This work requires significant time and resources, and that’s where you come in.

Your $5 donation helps cover food, veterinary care, and training equipment.

We aim for impact, and every dollar counts.

God said, 'I will send them without wings so no one suspects they are angels.' 😇🐾"

Sometimes angels don’t fly—they walk on four paws, give unconditional love, and offer second chances. Every service dog in our program is living proof that hope and healing come in many forms.

Thank you to our incredible supporters, trainers, and handlers who help these working angels fulfill their purpose every single day. ❤️✨

"The wet grass is a trap. I’m an indoor dog now." 🙅‍♂️🐾

Chase evaluated the post-storm conditions outside and decided that dry hardwood floors and air conditioning are superior in every way. The outside world can wait! 🌧️🏠

One drop of rain on the porch and suddenly he acts like the outside is a hostile environment. 🌧️💀
