Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!
At NAMI Tennessee, we believe that mental health is health—and that no one should face their journey alone.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re raising awareness, advocating for change, and reminding our communities that help, hope, and healing are always within reach. 💚
As we work to break the stigma and elevate mental health conversations across the state, here’s how we’re supporting Tennesseans year-round:
🔹Free support groups for individuals, families, and caregivers that offer connection, understanding, and shared experience
🔹Educational classes and presentations that empower people with knowledge, tools, and strategies for mental health and recovery
🔹Legislative advocacy that amplifies the voice of lived experience to shape mental health policy in Tennessee
🔹Access to statewide mental health resources, referrals, and one-on-one support through our HelpLine, available M-F from 10a-4p at (800) 467-3589
This May, we’re also shining a light on Tardive Dyskinesia (TD), a condition involving involuntary, repetitive body movements that can result from long-term use of certain mental health medications. Follow along with us to learn more and spread awareness.
This month and every month, we invite you to stand with us, speak up, and take action for mental wellness in your community.
