Come support animal welfare in Montgomery County on Saturday 10/31! There will be multiple other rescues there, some selling merch to support their rescues. We will be there handing out information on local spay/neuter resources, information on what to do if you find a kitten outside, and we will be set up indoors as we have bottle babies in attendance and need to plug in our incubator! There will also be adoptable cats and dogs through Montgomery County Animal Care & Control, PLUS trick or treating! We are excited to see you all there and to provide the public with some educational content AND candy 😸😸😸

Our precious preemie boy, Vermithor opened his eyes at just 15 days old! And his sibling, Silverwing is already showing signs that those tiny eyes will be opening very soon, too! 🐱💖

Every little milestone feels HUGE when you’re this tiny, and getting to witness these precious moments is such a gift.

Please forgive my rusty video-making skills!!! Its been a while! 😂 And if I seem a little awkward on camera, I promise I’m much more comfortable behind it than in front of it. But these sweet babies are worth stepping outside my comfort zone to share their journey with you!

One tiny blink at a time, these little warriors are discovering their world.

REASONS YOUR KITTY SHOULD STAY INDOORS: depicted by this little guy right here. 💔

This poor baby is only 8 weeks old and weighs just 0.57 kg (1.26 lbs). At his age, he should be approaching 1 kg (2.2 lbs). He’s dehydrated, covered in fleas and riddled with worms. And that NASTY wound? He has a botfly larva living beneath his skin.

This little guy will need professional removal. Botfly larvae have backward-facing spines that can complicate removal, and rupturing the larva can cause inflammation and infection. Depending on the wound and his condition, he may also need antibiotics and continued veterinary care.

He is only EIGHT WEEKS OLD. Botfly larvae can remain in a host for weeks. How long has this baby been suffering? How much of his tiny life has been spent in pain when he should have been safe, warm and loved?

This is why we do what we do at Saving Kittens Sanctuary. We take on the saddest, hardest cases. The ones that need more than a little food and a safe place to sleep. The ones that require veterinary intervention, round-the-clock care and a chance they might not otherwise get.

Every cat we intake comes from a situation where euthanasia was a risk. Every neonate we save is a tiny life that gets a chance to grow up when that chance might otherwise have been taken away.

And this work? It is not government-funded. It is not glamorous. It is not easy. It is often thankless, expensive and emotionally exhausting. But we do it because these babies deserve a chance.

We do it because their lives matter.

And we do it because little guys like this deserve to know what it feels like to be safe.

PLEASE keep your cats indoors. The outdoors exposes them to parasites, injuries, predators, disease and countless dangers they cannot protect themselves from. Even a few hours outside can change a life forever.

Help us give this little guy the second chance he deserves. ❤️

Meet Rory!

Rory is an 8 week old Black Smoke female! She has has her first vaccinations, is dewormed & microchipped. She is eligible under our FTA program, meaning she will have to make it to her spay appointment 12/30/26 where she will receive the rest of her vetting, but upon approval, she can go home with you! We do require biweekly updates until her appointment to ensure she is growing as she should and will be ready for her spay appointment!
She eats purina kitten chow and fancy feast wet food, and is litter trained.

URGENT!!
FOSTER HOMES NEEDED RIGHT MEOW!

We have possible multiple cats being returned this week for various reasons through no fault of the kitty and WE NEED FOSTER HOMES!

We do not have enough space to accomodate additional cats safely, we are closed for intakes but as a standard we always take our adopted kitties back💔
Which may mean multiple kitties come back due to life changing circumstances. It is not an easy decision for their families to make and there is no judgement when our kitties are returned but this means we must make space for them

Due to the Trump rally at F&M Bank Arena this weekend and the expected increase in traffic throughout Clarksville, Saving Kittens Sanctuary will NOT be setting up at PetSmart Clarksville this weekend.

We have tiny bottle babies at home who depend on us for frequent feedings and care, and we need to make sure we can get home to them without traffic delays. Their needs come first, so we’ve decided it’s best to sit this weekend out!

BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t find your new best friend!!

-Browse our page to see all of our adoptable kitties!
-View adoptable cats at PetSmart in Paris or Hopkinsville.
-Arrange to meet adoptable cats at our rescue headquarters in Woodlawn.

We appreciate your understanding and support! Our bottle babies are counting on us, and we have to make sure those little bellies stay full. ❤️

INTRODUCING OUR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM! 🐾

Have you fallen in love with one of our kittens but they aren’t quite ready to go home permanently yet? We have a program for that!

Saving Kittens Sanctuary’s Foster-to-Adopt Program is specifically for our little kittens who are waiting for their scheduled spay or neuter appointment. Approved adopters may be able to welcome their kitten home early instead of waiting at the rescue until their surgery is complete!

Here’s how it works:

1. Apply and get approved to adopt.
2. Sign our Foster-to-Adopt Agreement and pay the adoption fee.
3. Bring your kitten home while they wait for their spay or neuter appointment.
4. Stay in communication with Saving Kittens Sanctuary and provide all required updates and reports.
5. Bring your kitten to their scheduled spay or neuter appointment as directed by the rescue.
6. Finalize the adoption once all program requirements have been completed.

**IMPORTANT PAYMENT POLICY:** Payment is collected when the Foster-to-Adopt Agreement is signed. All payments are NONREFUNDABLE under any circumstance. Please make sure you understand and agree to the program requirements before signing your agreement and submitting payment. This payment goes directly to prepaying your veterinary bill at the Humane Society in which your kitten will be spayed or neutered.

**Communication is REQUIRED.** Foster-to-adopt families must regularly report to Saving Kittens Sanctuary as outlined in their agreement, respond to messages and keep us updated on their kitten’s well-being. Any health concerns, changes or issues must be communicated to the rescue. We need to know how our babies are doing while they’re in your care!

This is not a general trial adoption program. It is specifically designed for approved adopters whose kittens are simply waiting for their spay or neuter appointment.

Our goal is to get our kittens into loving homes as soon as possible while ensuring they receive their required veterinary care and that every adoption is completed responsibly.

Little kitties, lots of love! Meet Chloe & Jolene
Chloe- tabby female- 8.5 weeks old
Jolene- black longhair- 8 weeks old

These two babies have graduated the bottle, and are ready for pre-adoption status! You can now apply for these two, but they must stay in rescue until they are spayed! They are sweet, cuddly baby girls with lots of love to give that love to eat purina kitten dry food and sheba wet kitten food! They are so friendly and ready to find their home, preference going to a home who will adopt them together!

Run down to PetSmart Hopkinsville to meet some fixed and vetted 2.5 month old kittens available for adoption TODAY from 3-6pm! These littles will still need you to get them their rabies shot once they hit three months old and 3 pounds. They have been neutered, combo tested, dewormed, microchipped, 2 rounds of FVRCP, and on flea control. They are litter box trained and friendly with people and pets!
