Sisters on Purpose Chi Omega was founded at the University of Arkansas on April 5, 1895.

The Sigma Kappa Chapter was installed at Austin Peay State University on May 6, 1972. Today, Chi Omega has a growing sisterhood of more than 380,000 members and 181 active chapters. Membership in Chi Omega means a commitment to friendship, high standards of personnel, scholarship, community service, campus activities, and career development.

“Hi everyone! My name is Ale’, and I am the Panhellenic Delegate for Chi Omega! This position has brought me so much joy because I get to spread my love for both Chi Omega and the Panhellenic community to everyone around me. I am so overjoyed to have the opportunity to represent an organization that means so much to me. “Hi!!! My name is Sara Beth and I serve as the Director of Programming! This means I am the liaison between Cardinal Cabinet and Executive Board. I am so grateful for this position and getting to work with this year’s amazing Cardinal Cabinet! The girls work so hard to create such amazing events that support our chapter and make Chi Omega such an amazing place to be. Being able to be apart of all of their processes and ideas has held such a special place in my heart and seeing them all grow in their positions as well as individuals has been the greatest part of this position. Service is a meaningful part of our sisterhood, and we are proud to make a difference in the lives of others. Through our National Philanthropy, Make-A-Wish, we have the opportunity to help make dreams come true for children facing critical illnesses. Each semester, we come together to raise funds, spread joy, and support a cause that makes a lasting impact in our community. ❤️

“Hi! My name is Lauren Porter, and I have the wonderful opportunity to serve this chapter as its Personnel Chair! Chi Omega is made up of women with different ambitions, experiences, and strengths, and those differences create such a strong sisterhood. It’s so much easier to flourish throughout your collegiate experience-and beyond-when you’re surrounded by sisters who are nothing short of supportive and caring. That’s what has made serving in this position such a joy. I’ve come to appreciate the quiet, simple moments the most: sitting in our townhouse waiting to see who will walk through the door, passing a sister on the way to class, or waiting for chapter to begin while hearing the room filled with laughter and conversation. “Hello! My name is Addie Kemp, and I serve as the New Member Educator of the Sigma Kappa chapter of Chi Omega! I joined the chapter as PC’23. I’m currently in my last semester of Nursing school at APSU! This chapter and these girls have seen more in me than I would have ever imagined for myself, and I truly can’t imagine a life without them! Serving as New Member Educator has been such a rewarding experience. It has helped me grow so much in my confidence and leadership, while also giving me the incredible opportunity to teach our new members everything Chi Omega!
