Sisters on Purpose Chi Omega was founded at the University of Arkansas on April 5, 1895.

The Sigma Kappa Chapter was installed at Austin Peay State University on May 6, 1972. Today, Chi Omega has a growing sisterhood of more than 380,000 members and 181 active chapters. Membership in Chi Omega means a commitment to friendship, high standards of personnel, scholarship, community service, campus activities, and career development.

I joined the chapter as a sophomore in PC ‘24, and it has brought me the best friends and most incredible memories! I’m going into my senior year at APSU as a pre-medicine student majoring in Biology! Being a part of this amazing group of women has truly shaped me into the person I am now. These girls have helped me grow in confidence, friendship and leadership! Serving as Vice President has been the greatest joy, and has made me all the more grateful for friends who see the best in me! “Hello! I am Caroline Jansen! I currently have the honor of serving as the president of the Sigma Kappa chapter of Chi Omega! I joined this chapter as PC’23. I am a senior at APSU and I am majoring in Elementary Education. This chapter has truly been the best part of my college experience. It has provided me with refreshing friendships, confidence, and endless memories!
