Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support in local communities around the world.

The Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on October 21, 1978 by twelve vivacious women who wanted to impact the local community. Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. may be small in number but we guarantee that you will never find sisters that are more dedicated, supportive, intuitive and lead by the spirit of the Master.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to live a safe, healthy and educated life—today and into adulthood. 
The International Day of the Girl Child raises awareness of the unique challenges girls face and reminds us of the importance of protecting their rights, promoting equality and empowering them to reach their full potential.
When we invest in girls, we invest in our future. With the right support, resources and opportunities, girls can become tomorrow’s leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, mentors and change-makers.

CLARKSVILLE ALUMNAE CHAPTER | YOUTH PROGRAMS WORKSHOP

Today, our Youth Programs participants engaged in an enriching day of learning, personal development, and college exploration through our Delta Academy, Delta GEMS, and Debutante programs.

Our high school participants focused on college readiness, while our middle school participants explored self-affirmation, confidence, and the importance of recognizing their own worth and potential.

Our Delta GEMS and Debutantes also participated in an in-house college fair featuring representatives and resources from the following institutions:

🎓 Meharry Medical College
🎓 Fisk University
🎓 Austin Peay State University
🎓 Tennessee Tech University

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Julius Kelley of Austin Peay State University ROTC and our very own Sorors Bailey and Singleton for facilitating engaging and impactful workshops for our young ladies. Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and expertise in support of our youth.

A special thank-you to Penn Station for sponsoring lunch and supporting the success of today’s workshop. We are grateful for community partners who invest in the growth and development of our future leaders.

Through education, mentorship, personal growth, and exposure to new opportunities, we remain committed to empowering young women to recognize their potential, pursue their goals, and prepare for a successful future.

This October, with purpose!

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated encourages you to make breast health a priority.

Know your family history and share it with your healthcare provider. Stay current on routine screenings, including mammograms, based on your age and individual risk. Pay attention to changes in your breasts and speak with your provider about any concerns. These conversations and screenings can help detect breast cancer earlier, when it is easier to treat.

We stand with our sisters and all those navigating a diagnosis, celebrate our survivors, and honor the lives and memories of those who have transitioned. Their experiences remind us why education, advocacy, and access to quality care remain essential to our work, especially in addressing the health disparities affecting Black women.

Be sure to schedule your screening if you’re due, encourage someone you love to do the same, and support efforts that bring care within reach.

As one sisterhood, we come together to raise awareness, encourage action, and surround those affected by breast cancer with care and support. This October and beyond, let’s continue showing up for ourselves and one another.
