Saiorse is looking forward to an enriching summer! In addition to attending the Curtis Bass Symposium for marginalized genders hosted by the Curtis Institute in just a few weeks, she will be attending the Bowdoin International Music Festival, working closely with Tracy Rowell.

The Artemis Bass Initiative is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While everyone on our team is an active double bass player, we are all deeply passionate about the Artemis mission to support and encourage bassists of marginalized genders, and we take our nonprofit work very seriously. The mission relates strongly to what we do as performers, teachers, and humans in the world, and we plan to continue doing our part to make the future of classical music a more equitable place.

Eddie has had an exciting senior year! They are graduating from the University of Washington with degrees in bass and composition, and will be continuing their graduate studies at the Peabody Conservatory at John’s Hopkins University.

As an accomplished composer and bassist, he is excited to present a solo bass piece at the upcoming University of Washington Undergraduate Research Symposium in a few weeks. We know you will be amazing!

Eddie will be returning to Domaine Forget this summer, having received a coveted partial scholarship.

Molly has an exciting Senior Recital coming up in the fall, on which she will perform the Koussevitsky Chanson Triste, Rachmaninov Vocalise, Abel Sonata, Tony Fox’s Moonsetter, and a piece for electric bass.

Molly will complete their undergraduate studies at the Crane School of Music in 2027 with a degree in Music Education (orchestra track & special education), and plans to start teaching the following school year.

Carson is completing her undergraduate studies in double bass performance at The Ohio State University this year. Congratulations on your graduation!

She plans to attend the University of Louisville in the fall, where she will receive a masters degree in pedagogy. She is also excited to be attending the Wintergreen Music Festival this summer.
