We're off to a great start! 💙📚

Nearly 50 volunteer tutors--new and returning--joined us for our September 12th kickoff party on the lakefront! From games and food to connecting with fellow volunteers, it was the perfect way to kick off a new program year and bring our Tutoring Chicago community together.

We’re excited for another year of learning and connection! ✨

Pre-assessments are underway!

This week, Tutoring Chicago kicked off pre-assessments! These assessments, aligned with Illinois’ Common Core State Standards, help tutors identify students’ strengths and areas for growth so they can tailor their tutoring sessions throughout the year.

It’s a great first step toward creating meaningful, personalized learning experiences for students as they work toward their goals! 💙

This school year, become a Tutoring Chicago volunteer tutor and spend just 90 minutes a week supporting a Chicago student one-to-one. It was a special night at Wrigley Field! 💙⚾️

We were honored to have Tutoring Chicago recognized on the at a recent Chicago Cubs game as part of the 2026 Cubs Charities Community Awards! It was a special opportunity to celebrate the work we do in our community and the incredible students, tutors, volunteers, and supporters who make it possible.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who went above and beyond to support our students this summer!

This summer, two groups of TC volunteers rolled up their sleeves and worked food stands at Soldier Field to help raise funds for our tutoring programs. From the USA-Germany soccer game in June to the Foo Fighters concert in August, our volunteers (along with friends and family members!) made a meaningful impact.

Thank you to Levy Restaurants for partnering with us and helping create this opportunity for our volunteer community!

It was a joy to welcome students, tutors, and families back for another year of learning, connection, and growth...across 8 Zoom rooms and 7 in-person locations (with an 8th opening soon)! From meeting new tutoring pairs to reconnecting with familiar faces, it’s been a great start.
