Mentally in France right now 🥐😌

The Northside is piloting a brand new opportunity that allows our older friends to reminisce about their days of travel or explore different places and cultures from the comfort of Chicago.

This past week, guests enjoyed a French-themed café setting with special snacks, homemade crêpes, pictures and videos showcasing different attractions in France, and French-themed trivia! Each older adult received their very own passport with an actual photo of themselves taken by an LBFE staff member.

Although we can't replace the full experience of traveling to these places, we look forward to more opportunities like these to bring some novelty and exploration to our communities! Where to next? 🌍🛫

Today is the International Day of Older Persons and we love any opportunity to celebrate our older friends who bring so much experience, knowledge, and friendship to our LBFE community.

LBFE was decked out in festive colors yesterday as we celebrated the changing seasons at our annual Fall Luncheon! 85 guests, including older friends and volunteers, gathered for live music, dancing, and a delicious, cozy meal served by our partners .
