In kubb, inkasting — or "drilling" — is how you start your turn. Kubbs your opponent knocked down get returned to their side of the field. With the right technique, you can group them tight and set up combos.

Evan Fitzgerald inkasts near the corner stake, forcing his opponents to stand their kubbs in bounds. He misses one and rethrows it carefully infield, avoiding a punishment kubb. Then he and Josh Feathers account for every baton.

Four clear the field kubbs. One takes the last baseline standing. One is left for the king. No wasted batons.

E.D. win the final tonbecome the Western Regional Champions, and take home the AKA Open Championship Series Champions Coin.

Normally, baseline kubbs are protected until all the field kubbs are cleared. But when Andrew Schmidt's last field kubb goes down and takes a baseline with it on the same shot,that baseline stays down.

A tournament kubb pitch is 8 meters long by 5 meters wide. Five kubbs per baseline. King in the center. 6 batons. You throw from your baseline, 8 meters from the target.

Backyard sets come in all sizes, but when competition is on the line, these are the standards.
