🥹❤️ SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE THIS DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN A HOME! ❤️🥹

Meet MURPHY, a 12-year-old Welsh Terrier mix who is quite literally the SWEETEST little old man you'll ever meet. 🐾💙

Murphy is giving distinguished gentleman. Retired professor. Grandpa who tells you the same story 15 times but you listen every single time because you love him. 😂❤️

At 12 years young, Murphy isn't asking for much. He's not looking for anything extravagant. He just wants a soft place to land, someone to love him, and a family to spend his golden years with.

And honestly? He deserves the WORLD. 🥹

There is something so incredibly special about senior dogs. The gray faces, the soulful eyes, the quiet companionship, and the unconditional love they have to give. Murphy is no exception.

We would absolutely LOVE to find Murphy a FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME where he can be spoiled, cherished, and treated like the little king he is. 👑

Whether you can open your home temporarily or give him a forever family, you could make all the difference for this sweet senior.

Murphy has spent 12 years being someone's good boy. Let's make sure his golden years are his BEST years. ❤️

🥹🐾 MEET BELLYBUTTON! 🐾💗

First of all… BELLYBUTTON?! 😭❤️ Could there possibly be a cuter name for a cuter little face?!

This adorable pup found their way to Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), and while Bellybutton might not be looking their very best right now, we know that a little time, love, and medical care can make a WORLD of difference!

Bellybutton has demodectic mange, which was confirmed through a deep skin scrape, along with a secondary bacterial skin infection called pyoderma.

Sounds scary, right? But don't worry! ❤️

Demodectic mange is caused by microscopic mites that live in the skin, and while it can lead to hair loss, irritation, and skin infections, it's treatable, and we fully expect Bellybutton to make a wonderful recovery! With the proper medication, care, and a little patience, this sweet baby should be feeling and looking SO much better!

And the best part? Demodectic mange is not considered contagious to other dogs or people under normal circumstances!

Bellybutton might be a little crusty right now, but we see the adorable, healthy, happy pup waiting to shine through. ✨

We can't wait to watch this little one's transformation, and we're so happy to be part of Bellybutton's journey!

Here's to fresh starts, healthy skin, and a whole lot of belly rubs for BELLYBUTTON! 🥹💕 This little cutie would love a foster or foster to adopt home in the meantime!

Meet BEN, our 3.5-month-old Bulldog mix who is ALL PUPPY, ALL THE TIME! 🤪🐶

This little guy has energy for DAYS, a whole lot of personality, and absolutely no plans to slow down anytime soon!

Running? YES. Playing? ABSOLUTELY. Causing a little puppy chaos? YOU BET. 😂

Ben is the definition of a fun-loving, energetic puppy who is ready to take on the world, one zoomie at a time! He's looking for a family who is ready to embrace all the craziness, laughter, training, and adventures that come with raising a puppy.

Sometimes, saving a life takes a whole village, and Jailyn's story is the perfect example of that! 🥹❤️

Meet Jailyn, an absolutely ADORABLE 2-year-old pittie with the sweetest personality and so much love to give!

Jailyn's journey to Border Tails Rescue started in Tennessee, where one of our incredible community members found her and reached out to us for help. And she didn't stop there! She went above and beyond, driving Jailyn all the way from Tennessee to Kankakee, Illinois, where she met up with our amazing volunteer, Susie, who helped get this sweet girl safely to us! 🚗🐶

Talk about teamwork! ❤️

And let us tell you, Jailyn is SO worth it! This girl is an absolute LOVEBUG. She's dog-friendly, adores everyone she meets, and has the kind of sweet, loving personality that makes you wonder how anyone could ever let her go.

We're so grateful for the wonderful people who came together to give Jailyn a second chance. Now, there's just one more piece of her journey missing… a forever family! 🏡💕

🦊💕 IS THAT A FOX?! Nope, it's ARTE! 🥹

Meet our adorable little fox lookalike, Arte! This 8-month-old Jindo mix traveled all the way from Korea, and at just 13 pounds, she might be one of the cutest little things we've ever seen. 😭❤️

Seriously, LOOK AT HER. The ears. The face. The little fox-like features. WE CANNOT HANDLE IT. 🦊

But Arte isn't just ridiculously adorable. She's also an absolute SWEETHEART!

This little lady can be a bit shy and reserved when you first meet her, but give her a little time and you'll get to watch her personality completely blossom! 🌸 Once she feels comfortable, Arte is a playful, loving, happy little girl who has so much sweetness to share.

She's the perfect combination of a little bit bashful, a whole lot of adorable, and SO much fun. 🥹💕

Arte traveled across the world for a chance at her happily ever after. Now all she needs is someone to fall in love with her!

Our sweet Maggie recently enjoyed a Dog Day Out, and her volunteer had the sweetest things to say about their time together! 🥹❤️

🐾 Here's what her Dog Day Out volunteer had to say:

"It was a beautiful Dog Day Out with you, beautiful brown-eyed, resilient girl! You hopped in and out of the car with ease and provided such great company!

With your soulful eyes, you did not hesitate to show your willful way of navigating! As we explored community landscapes and city-like sidewalks, we discovered just how bright your future could be.

With all the sounds, scents, and so much to see, Maggie was 100% bark-free!

Maggie would love a hike, sprint, jog, or even a run. Please don't wait or hesitate to meet Maggie. It's time for you both to discover how much better you'll be together!" ❤️

We LOVE getting to see our dogs outside of the shelter, and Maggie is clearly ready to find someone to share life's adventures with! 🥹

WISHLIST REQUEST: FOSTERS 🥹🏡❤️

We have a lot of things on our wishlist at Border Tails Rescue… but right now, the thing we need most can’t be delivered in an Amazon box.

We need FOSTERS.

Every foster home that opens their door allows one of our dogs to get out of the shelter, decompress, and experience what it’s like to live in a home. It also opens up kennel space for another dog who needs us.

You don’t have to be able to foster forever. You don’t have to have the perfect house. And you definitely don’t have to know everything about dogs. We provide the supplies, medical care, and support — you provide the home and the love. ❤️

Whether you can help a puppy, senior, medical dog, shy dog, or just an easygoing pup who desperately needs a shelter break, we have someone who needs YOU.

Our biggest wishlist item right now is an empty couch. 🥹🛋️🐾
