A long time member of Rand Park DTC has passed away. Marion was involved with the club in many ways and served on the Board of Directors.

Obituary:
Marion B. Meseth, 92, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born November 21, 1933, in Chicago, IL. She and her husband Don had been active in Rand Park Dog Training Club, Des Plaines Emergency Management Agency, and Illini Search and Rescue. They owned Mardon Pet Supplies and Artistic Executive Awards, and for a time, Marion worked at Commonwealth Edison. She was a member of Job’s Daughters and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Donald Edward Meseth. Survivors include her daughter, Pam F**k and her fiancé Mark York; her niece Jeri Eberhardt and her husband Tom; and a host of family and friends who will miss her sense of humor and feisty spirit. She will be met at the rainbow bridge by the many furry companions they have loved and cared for over the years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Mathilda Baumgartner nee Hansen; brother William (Joan) Baumgartner; and her sister Dorothy (Robert) O’Neill.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:30 am at the Des Plaines American Legion Post 36, 1291 Oakwood Ave, Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canine Companions (https://canine.org/) in her name.
