Congrats to Jesse! Max Mallory was featured in the UWW “Hired Before Graduation” feature 11 years ago. High school seniors, here’s the post to show those parents who ask, “What? You want to go to college to major in ‘videogames’?

Congratulations to Jesse Brown from Mequon, Wisconsin, who earned a B.A. in media arts and game development with an emphasis in communication/gaming and a minor in leadership management and was hired as an intern with Artemax in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and was accepted to graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a Master of Science in Information in Madison, Wisconsin. Jesse says, "I'm most proud of making the Dean's List essentially every single semester, getting into UW-Madison on a full ride for graduate school, and having the greatest Halloween costumes multiple years in Whitewater! I'd like to give a big thanks to Professor David Simkins and all of the media arts and game development and computer science departments and clubs for supporting me for 2-3 years while I was trying my hardest to get into graduate school. It means so much to me!"

Hear how Mason Moore, diagnosed with TC at age 28, made it through, survived two recurrences of cancer in the lungs, and through it all gave back to the community. Inspiring!

“I was 28…and I thought I was indestructible,” says Mason Moore about when he was diagnosed with TC. “I knew nothing about testicular cancer.” He was also near his wedding date! So he had a testicle removed, and 4 days later got married.

Later, after artificial conception didn’t work, the couple was surprised to find out they had a baby on the way!

Cancer recurred two more times in his lungs, and now he’s 7 years cancer-free.

It’s a tale of endurance, tricky coordination with medical pros, and hope during tough times.

Continuing Testicular Cancer Awareness Month!

One of our most searched-for episodes: about how men handle their emotions during cancer. It's not all "thoughts": some of it's biology. Michael D. Hoyt, Ph.D., a specialist on the subject, also talks about the question he hears most frequently: "Am I Doing Okay?"
