This week faith leaders from ONE Northside’s clergy table traveled with us to Springfield to meet with legislators as the budget session reaches crunch time! They went from office to office in the capitol building to speak with our elected leaders and offered prayers for them. Today was our day of action in Springfield! We went to make some noise for our communities facing the brunt of of Trump’s cruel cuts. Trump gave Illinois billionaires a $9 BILLION tax break while families are losing healthcare, SNAP, and school funding.

Meanwhile, our communities are being told there’s “not enough money.”

There IS enough money — if lawmakers make the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share. Illinois can fully fund healthcare, education, childcare, and more for every community. But legislators need to act NOW.
