Dear Rotarians, Family and Friends,
Rotary Club of Chicago, Lakeview will kick off its 2026 virtual blood drive between June 17th and July 30th and we are targeting 30 volunteer donations. Please help us achieve this critical goal. Voluntary blood donations account for more than 90% of blood supplies needed for clinics and hospitals. Your donation is vital to meet increased blood needs this summer!

🌟 Big June Energy: Wrapping up the 2025-26 Rotary Year! 🚀

We aren't winding down just because it’s the final month of the Rotary year...we’re making every single week count! Here is what’s on deck:

We kicked things off with a virtual board meeting, saying a huge thank you to our outgoing board members and welcoming our new leaders. *Stay tuned for details on our upcoming formal changeover party!*

🤝 June 10: We’re hearing from our friends at Nourishing Hope Chicago about their incredible work providing food, social services, and mental wellness support to our community.

🩸 June 17: A packed meeting! Our very own Tata Venkata will share how we can save lives with a virtual blood drive through Vitalant. Plus, we’re kicking off our next round of member "getting to know you" presentations!

🥂 June 24: We’re wrapping up the month with a lighter program which is the perfect time to celebrate all our wins from the past year and gear up for the new Rotary Year!

💖 Stronger Together: Last week, we attended a beautiful recognition ceremony with our partners at La Tiendita, who thanked us for our ongoing relationship. We love working alongside you!

🤝 Lone Star Connections: This week, we hosted Andrés, a dynamic visitor from the Rotaract Club of The Woodlands (District 5910) in Texas! He and Polly exchanged club banners with us to mark the occasion.

We’ve hit the ground running this month! After kicking things off with our virtual board meeting, we’re heading into a double-header service weekend:

👨🏻‍🍳 Serving Comfort: We’re at the Ronald McDonald House Saturday to prepare meals for families.

🗑️ Cleaning Up: We’re also hitting the banks for the Chicago River cleanup on Saturday to keep our city beautiful.

Since tomorrow night is a board meeting, and we won't be in-person at GoodTimes Brewery, we wanted to take a moment to look back at an incredible month of impact. Check out this collage of our April service highlights!

We stayed busy and heart-centered all month long:

🥣 Soup Kitchen Success: We kicked things off by volunteering at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen.

🥪 Meal Prep Magic: During our regular club meeting, we rolled up our sleeves to pack meals for our neighbors.

🫂 Community Connection: We spent the weekend distributing those meals through Chi-Care.

April was a whirlwind of service, and we’re just getting started! We have plenty of exciting projects and events lined up for May.

Putters, Pints, and People of Action! ⛳️

Wait—it’s the 5th Wednesday already‽ You know the rule: no formal meeting, just a lot of fun! This Wednesday night at 7:00 PM, the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview is heading just a few doors down the street to Big Mini Putt Club Lakeview (3655 N Halsted St).

We’re trading our community service discussions for a friendly battle on the greens. Whether you’re a mini-golf pro or just looking to hang out, come join us!

Cost: $11 for one round / $15 for unlimited play 🏌️‍♂️
Tee Time: 7:00 PM

We had a phenomenal time at the Rotary District 6450 Conference! From Nick’s insights on community service to Mike’s masterclass on public image, we loved contributing to the conversation.

We’re honored by the awards we received, but we’re even more excited to get back to work.

Still buzzing from last night’s meeting!

We had the absolute pleasure of inducting our newest member to the family. Welcome aboard, Andrés! We also dove into our recent member satisfaction survey results, and the feedback was incredible. It’s clear our members are proud to be part of this club and excited about where we’re headed.

We know there’s always room to grow, and that’s exactly why we asked. We’re taking those insights and getting better every single day! 💙💛

Business as usual? Not quite!

Last night's meeting was more than just reports and updates. After wrapping up our club business, we rolled up our sleeves and packed 130+ snack packs that we'll distribute this weekend with our friends at Chi-Care.
