School Board District 6a Forum

For the first time ever, the Chicago Board of Education will be fully elected this November. The board helps decide how tax dollars are spent on things like school programs, infrastructure, and positions that impact our students, teachers, and families. These decisions have real impact on our neighborhoods, which is why we hope you’ll join us to hear from the candidates and learn more about this important role.

* Date & Time: October 7th at 6:00 PM
* Location: WP Bucktown Public Library (1701 N Milwaukee Ave)
* Candidates: Isaiah White, Anusha Thotakura, Brenda Anderson
* Hosted by: Bucktown Community Organization, Wicker Park Committee, and Laura Yepez (1st Ward Democratic Committeeperson)

A $400,000 public toilet in Wicker Park’s Polish Triangle. Even though there’s existing (but shuttered) bathrooms in the CTA station below that could be rehabilitated for far less. And lots of unanswered questions about maintenance - San Francisco quickly learned that all of their JCDecaux “self-cleaning toilets”had to be manned by an attendant.
