Every year, thousands of runners make their way through our neighborhood, and Chicago shows up to cheer them on.

From the hilarious signs to the heartfelt encouragement, the spectators bring their own kind of energy to marathon Sunday.

Supporting the Chicago Marathon is some of the most fun you can have in Wrigleyville! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This Sunday, October 11, thousands of runners will make their way through our neighborhood for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon (Chicago Marathon), and the energy along the route is something special.

From the creative signs to the cheering crowds, marathon Sunday brings out some of the best of Chicago.

🏃 26.2 miles through 29 Chicago neighborhoods

Come out, find a spot along the route, bring a sign and cheer on the runners!

🚧 Neighborhood heads-up: Expect street closures, parking restrictions and traffic delays along the marathon route. Plan ahead if you’re heading out on Sunday.

Every year, before the final regular season home game at Wrigley Field, the Bleacher Bums gather for one of the best traditions in baseball: the annual Bleacher Potluck.

Everyone brings something. Everyone shares. And somehow an entire buffet appears in the Wrigley Field bleachers.

Just another reason there’s nowhere quite like the bleachers at Wrigley. ⚾️💙
