On V-J Day, we remember the end of World War II and honor the courage and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation.

More than eight decades later, we remain forever grateful to the brave men and women who served, those who gave their lives, and the families who sacrificed alongside them.

May their service and the hard-won victory they secured never be forgotten.

20 years ago Stand Up for Heroes was born out of a simple idea: bring people together with music and laughter to honor those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

We thought it would be a one-time thing. But together with the New York Comedy Festival we’ve raised $117 million for veterans, military families, and caregivers. It’s become one of the most meaningful nights of the year.

This November 9th we're back at Lincoln Center for the 20th anniversary show! The milestone show will feature special musical performances by Bruce Springsteen, The Resilient, and Alex Warren, and headline comedy sets from Josh Johnson, Hasan Minhaj, and Jon Stewart.

Bob’s promise 20 years ago was to always have the backs of those who have ours. Join Bob (and The Boss!) on November 9th as we celebrate this milestone and reaffirm his promise to a whole new generation of American heroes.

The ticket window opened just a few minutes ago!

Happy Birthday to the 82nd Airborne Division! 🪂
Formed in 1917 during World War I, the 82nd Division was made up of soldiers from all 48 states—earning the nickname “All American.” ⭐
In World War II, they became the first airborne division in the U.S. Army and helped turn the tide in battles like Sicily, Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge. ⚔️🌍
Since then, the 82nd Airborne has answered the call in nearly every major U.S. conflict. These elite paratroopers stand ready to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours. ⏱️✈️
Today, we salute the courage, discipline, and sacrifice of all who’ve served in the 82nd. 🎖️
Airborne. All the way.

As a Board Member of Operation Veteran Success (OVS), I am hijacking its page to hold a birthday fundraiser for OVS. In honor of my father, Veteran Joseph Gerak (deceased) (U.S. Army, Cpl '51-'53) and Michigan Air National Guard, Maj. '57-'71), please consider making a donation to OVS to assist us in helping out U.S. Military Veterans and their families who are experiencing temporary housing issues. My Dad, Joe - deeply patriotic, son of Polish immigrants - was a compassionate and caring man and a gentle soul. He would be proud of his grandson and namesake, our son, Joe Gerak (U.S.M.C Sgt. -Ret'd). Help out OVS and our Veterans and make a contribution where it literally can make a difference in a Veran's life. You can donate here, or at the OVS website - www.opvetsuccess.org.
