A beautiful full-circle moment of legacy, leadership, and giving back. ❤️🎓

The Bernie Mac Foundation was honored to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Chicago Vocational High School Class of 2026 as Dr. Rhonda R. McCullough, President & CEO of the Bernie Mac Foundation, proudly returned to her alma mater to present the Bernie Mac Arts, Communications, and Humanities Award to scholarship recipient Mariah Green.

As proud members of the Chicago Vocational High School Class of 1975, both the late Bernard “Bernie Mac” McCullough and Dr. Rhonda R. McCullough began a journey rooted in love, purpose, and community, making this moment especially meaningful as Dr. McCullough continues the legacy of investing in future generations of young leaders and changemakers.

The graduation ceremony featured Mayor Brandon Johnson as keynote speaker, with Dr. Latasha Taylor serving as Principal, as students crossed the stage surrounded by love, encouragement, and celebration.

Representing the Bernie Mac Foundation at this special occasion alongside Dr. McCullough were Rev. Dr. Douglas T. Gaines, Bernie Mac Foundation Board Member, Executive Director Mary Ann Grossett, and members of the CVS Hall of Fame Alumni community.

To the Class of 2026: continue to dream boldly, lead courageously, and remember that your story is only beginning. We are proud of you.

Congratulations, Mariah Green, and congratulations to the entire Class of 2026! 🎓✨

📢 New Research. Real Impact. Real Change Needed.

Sarcoidosis continues to be one of the most misunderstood and inconsistently defined diseases in medicine. This newly published commentary highlights a major issue. The lack of standardized classification criteria, which is slowing down research, delaying treatment breakthroughs, and affecting patient outcomes worldwide.

At the Bernie Mac Foundation, this is exactly why we do what we do. Advocacy, awareness, and pushing the conversation forward isn’t optional, it’s necessary.

✨ This is bigger than research.
✨ This is about clarity for patients.
✨ This is about better care, better trials, and better futures.

We’re proud to see continued progress from leading researchers and partners working to redefine how sarcoidosis is understood and treated.

💜 Let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep educating. Let’s keep showing up.
