We are thrilled to announce that Kameka Love has joined Metropolitan Family Services (MFS) as the new Chief People & Culture Officer.

Kameka is a dynamic and visionary leader who brings more than 20 years of experience helping organizations build thriving, people-centered workplaces. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her ability to create collaborative work places, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and inspire teams to achieve their highest potential.

Most recently, Kameka served as Vice President and Chief People & Culture Officer at Jewish Child and Family Services, where she led innovative workforce strategies. Love’s career journey also includes HR positions in Chicago and Nashville with organizations such as Chicago Zoological Society / Brookfield Zoo, HealthSpring Inc. (now Cigna-HealthSpring), Accredo, and Adecco, giving her a strong foundation across both nonprofit and corporate sectors.

Kameka holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS from Austin Peay State University.

Noetic is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kate Meghji as the new Chief Executive Officer of Kansas City Pet Project (KCPP).

Kate brings over a decade of leadership experience in animal welfare organizations across the country, along with a strong track record of transformational leadership, passion, and innovation.

Prior to joining KCPP, Kate served as Chief Operating Officer at the Humane Rescue Alliance (“HRA”) in Washington, D.C. where she oversaw all aspects of shelter operations for HRA’s campuses in Washington, DC, including community programs, volunteer engagement, and the Training and Behavior Center. Prior to this role, she served as the CEO of the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County, implementing best practices in animal welfare leading to significant reductions in animals’ lengths of stay, shelter disease, and euthanasia. She also served as the Executive Director for the Lawrence Humane Society in Kansas, where she spearheaded and completed a multi-million-dollar campaign for the construction of a new shelter and resource facility.

Kate is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, data-driven decision-making, and a deep commitment to community-centered animal services. Her innovative strategies have consistently led to increased adoptions, strengthened community partnerships, and the development of progressive programs that help keep pets with their families.

She holds an MBA from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from The Evergreen State College.

Kate officially stepped into her new role this month and is excited to engage with the Kansas City community, build on the organization’s successes, and further its lifesaving mission.
