The Water Walk is going virtual!

Every year at our dinner party, guests strut and dance (or cartwheel or piggyback 🤷‍♀️) down a runway carrying jerry cans, and it’s always the most joyful moment of the night. This year, we’re inviting everyone to join in, wherever you are.

Swipe to see how it works, then share your video with and tag The Humanity Share so we can cheer you on. Every walk supports water and education projects alongside partner communities in East Africa.

Near Holland? Walk the real runway with us Friday, Oct 23 at Warehouse 6. Reserve your seat by Monday, Oct 12.

You helped us raise money for the water project in Olenarau last year. You’ve seen updates in our stories about the progress. And this week, we are preparing for the water site dedication.

As we prepare to celebrate, we are reminded of the women leaders who saw an opportunity for growth and took it.

One of those women is Madame Josephine. She has carried the burden of water collection responsibility, and shares her joy in this video. As Chairperson, she has worked hard to see the water project to completion in her community.

We celebrate with her, and the entire Olenarau community, as the clean water starts flowing this weekend.

This year, we are raising funds for the Oltaraja community’s water project. Join us at our upcoming dinner party in Holland on Oct. 23 to learn more and support this meaningful work.

💧OLTARAJA UPDATE💧

In June, we walked 6k to raise awareness of the distance women and girls walk every day to collect water, and fundraise for the Oltaraja community’s water project. Your support helped us begin the process with a hydrogeological survey to see where we might find water.

A hydrogeological survey uses electricity to map the groundwater and narrow down ideal locations before expensive digging begins. We assess availability, depth, quality, and movement of the water along with the terrain to ensure a successful dig.

Sustainable access to clean water is one step closer for this community! Thank you for your continued support of THS programming.

Please join us in welcoming our newest board members, Chelsea and Lucie, and congratulating Justin on his promotion to Chair!

Justin has served on the Board of Directors (USA) for the past two years, and he and his family are longtime supporters of The Humanity Share. We are grateful for all the ways he leads by example, and looking forward to seeing the growth his support will provide.
