☀️ Even though summer may be behind us and rehearsals are ramping up but we’re still flying high from the great times we had together this summer!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us over for our Summer Socials. It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new friends, and share some fun time together.

Moments like these remind us that NPM Chicago (soon to be NACCM Chicago?) is more than an organization. It’s a community of friends and colleagues united by faith, prayer, and a love for the Church that we serve as pastoral musicians.

Tomorrow is the big announcement! Any guesses as to what the new name will be?

Tomorrow, October 6, NPM will officially reveal a new name for our association—marking an exciting next step after 50 years of serving the Church through sacred song and musical leadership.

This evolution honors our rich history while positioning us to welcome future generations of church musicians and better reflect who we are today.

Here's what you need to know:
1. Our focus remains the same. Our core commitment to supporting, forming, and advocating for liturgical musicians and leaders does not change.
2. Your membership, benefits, account access, and resources will continue seamlessly.
3. Watch your inbox at 9:00 am Eastern Time on October 6 for the full announcement, complete with our new name, visual identity, and vision for the future.

Who is excited for October 6?!?!

For 50 years, NPM has been a home for all who serve the Church through song. As we honor our history and look toward the future, we are preparing for an exciting evolution in our shared identity.

As we shared at the 2026 Members' Meeting, we will officially unveil a new name for our organization. This announcement will be shared on October 6.

While our name is evolving, our mission remains exactly the same: to support, form, and empower you in your ministry.

As we embrace the new reality today of Publisher no longer being available to us, we take a moment to remember all the good times we had together along with another trusted friend that was taken from us too soon.

11 Years Already?!?! Where has the time gone??

11 years ago today, Jessica Koch, Matt Merz, and Wendy Silhavy helped to introduce us as NPM National - National Association of Pastoral Musicians newest chapter!

We are so grateful to all our friends and colleagues who have gotten us to this point! We have much more in store for our chapter and are blessed to have you a part of our journey.
