Thanks to all that attended “Chant in Modern Liturgy” this afternoon! Attendees were treated to a presentation of the history and interpretation of plainchant, led by Joe Labozetta at St. Josaphat Parish in Lincoln Park.

The Sacred Voices Choir—featuring 40 singers from the Roman and Vatican musical institutions—will be touring Illinois this June, bringing the timeless beauty of the Church’s sacred music tradition directly to us.

Under the direction of Pontifical Cantore Adriano Caroletti, and accompanied by Josep Solè Coll, organist of St. Peter’s Basilica, this concert offers a rare chance to hear the music of Palestrina, Perosi, and Bartolucci as it is sung in the chapels of Rome and the Vatican.

✨ These are the very sounds that accompany the liturgies of the Holy Father, brought to life by the singers who live this tradition every day.

Hear and meet the composer of several of our beautiful Mass songs performing these and other selections, here at Old St. Patrick’s Church!

Join us April 23 at 7 PM as the incredible Mark Miller, world-renowned composer and musician, joined by members of our Music ministry, presents a concert that leads us to love, inclusion and justice.

Mark believes that everyone is a Child of God and that music can help heal the world. His songs Hope Will Not Fail, Love Will Rise Again, and Rejoice in Love are quickly becoming favorites here at Old St. Pat’s. Are you looking for a new opportunity to serve?

Three Holy Women Parish, serving the east side of Milwaukee, is seeking a full time Director of Music & Liturgy serving Three Holy Women Parish and supporting a Liturgy Associate serving Our Lady of Divine Providence parish. The Director would also work closely with joint/shared staff at SS Peter & Paul and Old St. Mary’s parishes who are part of the ‘Family of Four’ parishes on the east side of Milwaukee. We are looking for someone with a collaborative spirit, experience in music ministry and strong organ and piano skills.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in music or its equivalent. Knowledge in Catholic liturgy (or a willingness to learn) and the various styles of ritual music and choral repertoire is necessary. Proficiency in organ and piano and vocal and directing skills for the choir along with the training of cantors and the ability to collaborate with staff and parishioners is also a necessity.
