The AAE Foundation was incorporated in 1966, as the philanthropic arm of the AAE; it is a 501(c)3 charity. Over the years, its mission and activities have evolved. Today, the AAE Foundation, nicknamed the Foundation for Endodontics, makes a lasting impact on the specialty of endodontics by providing resources to address needs, meet challenges and realize dreams for the future. The countdown is on! There’s still time to get those final steps, miles, and rides in before the REACH Dash comes to a close on 10/15!

From team walks and daily jogs to some friendly competition in the EPP Mileage Challenge, participants around the world have been showing up and putting in the miles to support the future leaders of the specialty! We are so grateful to everyone who has joined us in supporting resident mental health, building community, and strengthening the future of endodontics.

The incredible Research and Scientific Affairs Committee (RSAC) members made their way to Chicago late last week. While they may not have run the Chicago Marathon, they certainly tackled a marathon of their own! Between their packed schedules and a busy travel weekend, our dedicated committee members went the extra mile to review and support the future of endodontic research.
It’s always a pleasure welcoming this amazing group to our Chicago headquarters. Thank you all for your time, dedication, and commitment to advancing the specialty. We can’t wait to see you all again in the spring!

Last weekend, our Foundation staff headed to St. Louis for the Resident Expert Advisory Council, the Educator Workshop and APICES!
It was a weekend full of connection, celebration and giving back. We had the opportunity to recognize our 2026 Freedom Scholars, volunteer alongside REACH at Give Kids a Smile, welcome new residents, support endodontic program directors, reconnect with familiar faces and make plenty of new friends along the way!
The Foundation is proud to sponsor APICES in part, and the Educator Workshop in full - both events that bring the endodontic community together in meaningful ways.

Yesterday, Foundation Resident Expert Advisory Council (REACH) members volunteered their time before AAE's APICES meeting to partner with Give Kids a Smile St. Louis. Volunteers helped prepare dental supplies for Give Kids a Smile's biannual open clinic in October.

This year, thanks to support from our friends at Endodontic Practice Partners, we are excited to introduce our brand new EPP Mileage Challenge held alongside the annual REACH Dash virtual 5K. Participants who track their 5K and any additional miles on Strava between October 1–15, 2026, can help their team climb the leaderboard and compete for exclusive prizes!
