American Academy of Implant Dentistry

American Academy of Implant Dentistry AAID Founded in 1951, the Academy is the first professional organization in the world dedicated to implant dentistry.

Its membership includes general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists and others interested in the field of implant dentistry. As a membership organization, we currently represent over 4,000 dentists worldwide. Through our educational offerings and credentialing program, we provide valuable expertise in the field of oral implantology—expertise that ultimately benefits the patients dentists serve. If you are a patient interested in dental implants, I encourage you to visit our Find a Dentist section. Having entered the 21st century, there has never been a more exciting time in implant dentistry. The advances in technology and techniques that have occurred, and those we are currently exploring, are making implant dentistry more sophisticated and successful, bringing it to the forefront of the dental field.Through this site, you can learn more about implant dentistry, dental implants and the services provided by the Academy.

A meaningful moment from Nashville! AAID's Executive Director for our 75th anniversary, Carolina Hernandez, alongside Vincent Shuck, who served as Executive Director during AAID's 50th anniversary.

For 75 years, AAID has been built by dedicated leaders, members and staff. Seeing two chapters of that history together at this year's Annual Conference reminds us how far we've come, and how much is still ahead!💙
