The best way to improve your throwing distance is by spreading wood chips. This will help with erosion and soil compaction on the course.

HPDG will host a raffle for all volunteers with cool disc golf and Chicago prizes to be had.

Looking for 2-3 people to join us this Thursday August 6th at the Jackson Park Golf Course. We will be promoting disc golf and dispensing beverages during the Park Foundation’s Charity Golf Tournament. We will be sharing information about disc golf and advocating for tee pads for the course. It’s a great chance to meet members of the park district, elected officials, and other park affiliated stake holders.

Must be over 21, can drive a golf cart, and if you are available for a few hours or all day we’d enjoy the extra help. Email: [email protected] if interested.

What was hole 9 is now 1 and the course starts in the woods.

Work in progress, we need to update signs, and do some cleanup in a few places, but let us know what you think.

Disc golf is on the list for several parks and we need your votes to help make that happen. Tee pads in Jackson Park and disc golf in Legion/Douglas parks. These improvements are listed under the recreation category.

The Chicago Park District is giving community members a direct voice in deciding future park improvements through Citywide Participatory Budgeting (PB). Community members submitted over 1,000 ideas. Now it's time to vote on what category should be funded.

Vote by ranking the project categories in order of preference. The category receiving the most votes will be funded, and at least nine projects under this category will be completed throughout the Central, North, and South Regions.

Voting runs July 27–August 27. Vote online now, or in-person at any Park District fieldhouse. Every vote helps shape future investments in Chicago parks. Participants must be at least 13 years of age and Chicago residents to vote.
