The best part of volunteering? Seeing familiar faces come back! 🧡

After joining us for a corporate volunteer day with Blue Cross Blue Shield, a few of those same volunteers returned to EveryMom for another shift!

We love when a day of service becomes something more. It’s a reminder that corporate partnerships aren’t just about the work accomplished in one day, but the connections made and the community built along the way.

A big thank you to our returning volunteers for continuing to show up for Chicago moms, babies, and families!

Before EveryMom Chicago, our founder Jamie connected with Jon Veal and Jordan Campbell of [ alt space Chicago ]] and their free community market, Alt_Market, where neighbors could give what they had and take what they needed.

Watching them respond to a need in their community showed something simple but powerful: you don’t need tons of funding or a big name to make an impact. You just have to care and show up.

Jamie began voluntering with them and eventually helped maintain one of the locations—collecting donations, sorting baby clothes, gathering diapers and essentials, and getting them into the hands of families who needed them.

There was no EveryMom yet. Just people seeing a need and choosing to show up.

That idea stayed with her. And eventually, it grew into something more.

This is where our story begins.

We’ll assemble newborn kits filled with essentials while catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones along the way.

The first days with a new baby can feel overwhelming. We believe every family deserves to begin them with support.

That’s why every EveryMom Chicago newborn kit is filled with over $500 worth of essentials—from clothing and a sleep sack to Aquaphor, NoseFrida, board books, and more.

The cost to the families we serve? $0.

Because of this community, parents can focus on what matters most: loving and caring for their new baby.

Every kit also includes safe sleep education and trusted local resources, because no family should have to navigate this season alone.

Because of this incredible community, we raised $41,072 to help provide Chicago families with high-quality newborn, postpartum, and breastfeeding essentials during the earliest weeks of parenthood.

Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship, every auction bid, every paddle raised, every volunteer hour, and every donation made this possible.

To everyone who spent months planning behind the scenes, showed up on June 5, donated, volunteered, or simply believed in our mission—thank you. Your generosity means more families will receive the essentials they need and the reminder that they are not navigating early parenthood alone.

We say it often because it’s true: it takes a village. Thank you for being part of ours.

Here’s to the families we’ll continue to serve, together. 🧡
