Patagonian Frontiers: Argentina and Chile by Land & Sea
Travel to the edge of the world with Associate Professor of Comparative Human Development Jill Mateo and the Alumni Travel program.
Cruise through glacier-carved fjords, hike the wilds of Torres del Paine, and explore the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires and Santiago alongside fellow alumni.
Professor Mateo studies the importance of kinship in animals and the development of adaptive behaviors. Throughout the journey, she'll lecture on the behavioral ecology of South America's birds and mammals, from guanacos roaming Torres del Paine to the more than 60,000 pairs of Magellanic penguins on Magdalena Island, as well as environmental changes in the region.
The trip dates are February 25–March 11, 2027.
