Our heartiest thank yous to Augustana Lutheran Church, who have been the most gracious hosts of many of our rehearsals and events for the past 10 years, and especially to the kind Pastor Nancy and Jim. Hey Monte Cristo cast: Augustana has been the most generous church to us for the past 10 years, letting us use the space pretty much whenever we need it. This was largely led by Pastor Nancy and her husband, Jim. Now as they move on from the congregation, we are invited to a fun send-off roast tonight at 7, or a farewell sermon/luncheon for them this Sunday, taking place at the church.

There's been a CHANGE IN THE TIME of our annual meeting and board election: Please join us at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 S. Woodlawn).

Want to vote in the board election, run for a board seat, hear about our upcoming season, and/or see old friends and new? Great! We'll meet in Gorder Hall, the big room downstairs.

Hi, friends, Augustana Lutheran Church has been and continues to be a great friend of the Players. As you may already know, this month we say goodbye to Nancy Goede, Pastor of Augustana, who is retiring, and Jim, her husband, whom we know as the unfailing help to the Players in finding space for our rehearsals, rain locations and so forth.

If you want to join in the farewells, our own Dan Friedrich will be MC-ing a Farewell Party & Roast for Nancy and Jim on Saturday, August 22, at Augustana, at 7 pm.

Nancy's last Sunday at Augustana will be the next morning, Sunday, August 23, with a service at 9:30 am, followed by a luncheon.
