Did you know the Woodstock Farmers Market is a producer-only market? That means everything you see—from fresh veggies and fruit to baked goods, honey, and handmade products—is grown, raised, or made by the people selling it. It’s one of the most direct and impactful ways to support local businesses and keep your dollars right here in the community.

We’re also proud to accept SNAP (Link) benefits and participate in the Link Match program thanks to a grant from Link Up Illinois. When you use your Link card at the market, we’ll double your food dollars with matching amounts of produce or plants that you can turn into more food—helping fight hunger while supporting our hardworking farmers and producers.

Healthy food. Strong community. Real impact.

Come shop with purpose at the Woodstock Farmers Market—Tuesdays & Saturdays, 8–1 on the Square.

📣 Illinois Food System Roadmap: Phase I Report Released!

For years, we’ve raised concerns that Illinois—a leading agricultural state—imports more than 95% of the food we eat. With support from the Illinois Department of Human Services, Experimental Station launched the Illinois Food System Roadmap to explore key questions: What would a statewide food system plan look like? What initiatives are already underway? Who’s working with whom? Where are the needs and gaps?

In Phase I, we engaged 300+ stakeholders across Illinois to identify what’s working, where challenges remain, and what solutions can move us forward. Clear themes emerged: we need education, connection, and collaboration across the food system to create lasting change.

This Roadmap isn’t just another report—it’s a dynamic organizing tool to activate, unite, and sustain a movement toward a resilient, equitable Illinois food system.

While nearly 2 million Illinoisans — including 600,000 Chicagoans — rely on SNAP to put food on the table, many still struggle to access fresh, healthy options in their neighborhoods.

That’s why Link Up Illinois has prioritized partnering with grocery stores in under-resourced, food-insecure communities. Today, Link Match is available in 20 neighborhoods across Illinois, bringing more fresh fruits and vegetables within reach for families who need it most.

👉 Slide through to learn more about the stores we partner with in South Shore and Englewood — and why these partnerships matter.

🚨ACT NOW to make sure you don't lose SNAP benefits🚨

As of February 1st, Illinois lost its waiver for reporting work requirements and changes to work requirements went into effect. SNAP recipients have 3 "strike" months to be not in complience, so we expect to see folks who have not updated their information with IDHS to begin losing benefits May 1st.

Visit SaveOurSNAP.org for full details on SNAP changes and call IDHS for assistance at 1-800-843-6154

1) Update your information with IDHS
2) Review work requirements and exemptions
3) Tell your family and friends to do the same
