Pray for our hundreds of church planters living in these communities - that God would protect, strengthen and comfort them and everyone affected by this disaster.

An ice-rock avalanche on a Himalayan glacier triggered catastrophic flash floods along the Bhotekoshi River in Nepal on Wednesday. More than 160 people have been killed, and nearly 1,500 have been reported missing across the Nepal–Tibet border region right now. Despite destroyed roads, bridges and ongoing mudslides, our church planters are bringing hope and practical help to those in need.

"When we started, no one wanted to send their children to a Christian school."

Andrew and his wife began with just 10 children gathering under their home in a community where many children had never heard the Gospel and hope felt distant.
Then the rumours spread. Doors began to close, and their ministry nearly came to an end. They had every reason to leave. Another opportunity even came their way. But they chose to stay because love doesn't walk away.

Today, the church is growing. Lives are being transformed, and hope has reached a community that once had none.

But every church planted, every life reached, every community transformed — none of it began with a feeling. It began with someone who acted.

"I have learned that Kingdom churches exist not only to serve believers, but also to care for the people and communities around them. Issues such as drunkenness, prostitution, and drug abuse are not just societal problems—they are also our responsibility. These challenges present opportunities for us to bring transformation and development within our communities.

I have also learned the importance of building meaningful relationships with community members, including those who hold influence and resources. Through these connections, we can work together to bring lasting change.

As pastors, we have not always given much attention to business. However, I now understand the importance of starting, planning, and growing sustainable businesses. With the knowledge I have gained, I am committed to improving my primary school—planning more effectively, creating a clear budget, and using it as a platform to impact the community.

I believe this will enable me to add greater value to both my church and the community we serve."
