🥾Pack 57 went to Newport News for our Spring camping trip! 🏕️ This past weekend was more than just s’mores and tents—it was a chance for our Scouts to become citizen scientists.
On Saturday, April 25th, we participated in the “Insects and Friends” event at the Newport News Discovery Center. This coincides with the All City Nature Challenge, a global competition to see which city can document the most biodiversity. We used the iNaturalist app to record our finds during our hike!

Super proud of our AOLs for bridging over to Troop 57! What an incredible milestone. Most of these kids have been together since Lions, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow, learn, and support each other all the way.
I couldn’t be more proud of how far they’ve come and the young leaders they’re becoming. The future is bright!
A special thank you to Don for performing such a meaningful ceremony—truly a moment we’ll all remember. 👏
