⭐️ On behalf of Honor and Remember, thank you for your generous support of our recent 5th Annual Honor and Remember Golf Tournament held in Virginia.

⛳️ Sponsors, donors and the golfers made this event far more than a golf tournament. It was an investment in preserving the memory of America’s fallen heroes and ensuring their families know that their loved ones are never forgotten.

Freedom has never been free. Men and women purchased it by laying down their lives for people they would never meet, choosing to support a cause greater than themselves.

⭐ Gold Star Children’s Day: They carry a hero’s legacy every day.

Today, on Gold Star Children's Day, we pause to recognize some of our nation's quietest heroes... the children of our fallen service members.

HONOR and REMEMBER remains passionate about comforting, honoring, and supporting our nation's military surviving children. They have endured so much and remain living legacies of their fallen parents' service and sacrifice to America.

In honor of Gold Star Children's Day, we are reminded of the hundreds of gifted flags that have touched the lives of those who never met their parents or knew them for a very short time. No matter the age, they are never be forgotten.

🇺🇸 IN MEMORY OF THREE FALLEN WILDLAND FIREFIGHTERS 🇺🇸

The wildland fire community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of three courageous firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to the Knowles Fire in western Colorado on June 27, 2026.

Today, we honor:

💜 Emily Barker, 38
Rifle Helitack – U.S. Forest Service
Clinton Township, Michigan

💜 Nick Hutcherson, 27
Kaibab National Forest – U.S. Forest Service
Glendale, Arizona

💜 Sydney Watson, 27
Rifle Helitack – U.S. Wildland Fire Service
Warrior, Alabama

These firefighters answered the call without hesitation, placing themselves between danger and the communities they swore to protect. During initial attack operations on the Knowles Fire, a burnover incident claimed three dedicated public servants and seriously injured two additional firefighters, who continue to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them and their families.

Every line-of-duty death is a solemn reminder that wildland firefighting remains one of the most demanding and unforgiving professions in America. Fire behavior can change in seconds. Conditions can shift without warning. The margin for error is often measured in moments.

As a retired Division Chief, I ask every firefighter preparing for another shift to honor Emily, Nick, and Sydney not only with your words—but with your actions.

Live the 10 Standard Firefighting Orders.

Respect the 18 Watch Out Situations.

Never compromise LCES—Lookouts, Communications, Escape Routes, and Safety Zones.

Maintain constant situational awareness. Continuously evaluate fire behavior, weather, fuels, and terrain. If something doesn’t feel right, speak up. There is no assignment so important that it is worth another firefighter’s life.

George shares a message about how Honor and Remember had the privilege of joining our partner NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway at the Coca-Cola 600 for one of the most meaningful Memorial Day weekends we’ve ever experienced.

From spending time with Gold Star families to recognizing them at the Drivers Meeting to unveiling a 6,500-square-foot Honor and Remember Flag and pausing the race at Mile 300 for a National Moment of Silence, the weekend served as a powerful reminder of why remembrance matters.

Moments like these don’t happen without partners willing to use their platform for something bigger than themselves. We are grateful to NASCAR, Coca-Cola, the teams, drivers, sponsors, and fans who helped ensure America’s fallen heroes and their families were honored on one of the largest stages in sports.

Because remembrance is not about one weekend.

It’s about making sure sacrifice is never forgotten.

Individually, we remember a few.

Together We Remember Them All. 🇺🇸⭐
